1. Request and review
Buyers can contact Kordiva about a refund; sellers can submit a request for review. Submitting a request does not immediately issue a refund. Kordiva reviews the sale, customer rights and supporting evidence.

The legal and product flow
Buys approved digital content through Kordiva's hosted payment flow.
Acts as Merchant of Record for the eligible transaction and controls the configured payment, buyer-tax and refund lifecycle.
Supplies the approved content or service. Eligible proceeds become available under payout and risk policies.
Your own income-tax, accounting and registration obligations remain. Business Commerce is a separate model in which the registered merchant remains the seller of its goods and services.
Individual refunds & chargebacks
For approved one-time Individual digital sales, Kordiva LLC is Merchant of Record and manages the buyer-facing payment case. Sellers supply the approved digital product and cooperate with review and recovery. These rules apply only to Individual MoR; Business Commerce follows its separate rules.
Buyers can contact Kordiva about a refund; sellers can submit a request for review. Submitting a request does not immediately issue a refund. Kordiva reviews the sale, customer rights and supporting evidence.
Kordiva refunds the original customer payment through its controlled workflow. Eligible seller funds already transferred can be recovered by reversing the related transfer. Any approved recovery shortfall can become seller debt and reduce future eligible proceeds. Recovery is not guaranteed; incomplete seller recovery does not remove the buyer's refund rights.
Automatic LIVE partial refunds are currently unavailable. Recovering part of a seller transfer is a separate operation from refunding part of a customer's payment. A partial transfer reversal does not mean a partial customer refund is supported.
Kordiva manages the dispute on its original customer charge. Sellers must supply requested product, delivery and customer-communication evidence. An unresolved dispute can hold affected proceeds; the reviewed seller-funded amount may be recovered or recorded as debt.
After a confirmed win, the appropriate previously recovered seller amount can be restored once payment recovery is verified. A confirmed loss can reduce proceeds or leave outstanding seller debt. Restoration and recovery are not automatic or guaranteed; unrelated holds remain separate.
The percentage commercial sale fee is credited according to the confirmed refund. Fixed sale-fee retention requires an explicit review of non-refundable costs; an already charged payout fee is retained. Original processing and FX costs are not automatically returned; provider credits require confirmation. Kordiva bears dispute infrastructure and representment fees, separately from the seller-funded principal.
Individual reserve policy
Our intended rolling reserve policy protects against refunds, disputes and outstanding debt. A reserve is temporarily unavailable seller money, not an additional commercial fee. Application depends on account eligibility, risk review and verified activation.

The reserve is calculated on eligible seller payable after buyer tax, commercial sale fees and confirmed seller-borne costs, before the payout-batch fee. Reduced and proven tiers require qualifying history, sales volume, dispute performance, debt and reconciliation checks; they are not purchased plan benefits or automatic upgrades based on time alone.
Each reserved portion has its own holding period. Release requires the applicable period and confirmed release and eligibility checks; it does not mean immediate bank arrival. A 0% routine reserve does not remove refund, dispute, debt or other risk holds. Kordiva's platform-managed reserves are separate from any additional reserves or restrictions Stripe imposes.
Individual payouts
Eligible Individual proceeds are scheduled for payout twice monthly, on the 1st and 15th of each month, using UTC dates. These are scheduled processing dates, not guaranteed bank-arrival dates. Pending funds wait for a later eligible cycle.
Verification, settlement, confirmed costs, maturity, reserves, refunds, disputes, debt and reconciliation determine eligibility. Money transferred to a seller's Stripe Express account is not yet a bank payout; reserved funds remain unavailable until released. A separate payout-batch fee applies under your plan.
Storefronts, Checkout Links and API sales follow the same Individual rules. A seller request does not execute a refund, release a reserve or bypass payout controls. Refund execution and reserve release follow Kordiva's controlled review.
Your dashboard distinguishes available funds and payout status. Email updates for funds available, payouts in transit, paid or failed require separate activation; they are not promised as currently enabled for every seller. A payment receipt is not confirmation of a bank payout.
Planned buyer markets
These are the intended initial buyer markets for Individual MoR, with more countries planned gradually after review. Canada and EU-27 are pending. This roadmap applies only to Individual MoR. Business Commerce already serves merchants accepting live payments and supports international buyers where Stripe supports the transaction, subject to the merchant’s setup and applicable requirements.
Planned launch market; activation remains to be verified.
Application submitted; pending. Launch requires approval and verified activation.
Tax setup completed as reported by Kordiva; activation remains to be verified.
Irish OSS application pending; EU availability is planned. A pending application is not an active registration.
Additional buyer countries may be enabled where Stripe payment support, product eligibility, and applicable tax and compliance requirements have been reviewed. Stripe payment support alone does not activate a buyer market.
Seller onboarding is separate: North Macedonia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Albania are our initial application countries. Sellers elsewhere can request a country review as we expand. We check payment support, identity, bank and local requirements before confirming access.

Scheduled Individual payout cycles: 1st and 15th UTC. Eligible funds only, subject to verification, maturity, reserves, reconciliation and risk controls; no guaranteed bank arrival date.
First see a Business Commerce sale, then compare the Individual plans. Fees and payout rules are different between the two models; a balance after one fee is not the amount arriving in your bank.
Your registered business is the legal seller. On a $100 sale before buyer tax, this example assumes a 2.9% + $0.30 Stripe processing charge solely to illustrate the math. Your actual Stripe/payment-provider fees can differ.

Eligible one-time digital sales only. Below, all plans assume a $100 product price before customer tax. Provider costs, reserves, payout fees and banking costs still apply separately.

Onboarding starts with these four seller countries. Sellers elsewhere can contact us to request a country review as we expand. Payment support, verification and local requirements are checked before access is confirmed.
Business Commerce already supports live customer payments, including international buyers where Stripe supports the transaction. Individual MoR has a separate buyer-market rollout: Canada and EU-27 are pending, while other markets are enabled gradually after payment, product and tax review. Seller onboarding countries do not define buyer reach.
